Since the days of Boyz in the Hood, I have wondered if the only products that have commercial value are the 'Get Rich rich ...' type films. I note in the UK people get excited about the Kidulthood and Adulthood movies, Bullet Boys etc. Is it youth culture? Is it a 'Black' thing? or is it just the old adage 'sex and violence sells? I am an US citizen living in the UK, I enjoy film a great deal.
